West Ham United’s women’s team announce new partnership with START PAC
August 14, 2020West Ham United women’s team is delighted to announce START PAC as its newest official partner.
START PAC’s President, Eve Storm, is a strong advocate of promoting women in business, particularly in male-dominated industries, which is part of START PAC’s ethos, in an industry where 97% are male.
START PAC is a family-owned company, based in the United States of America, that manufactures portable battery packs for heavy-duty engines, and the organisation is now looking to expand its operations overseas.
Having seen the progression of the Club, including through the documentary Britain’s Youngest Football Boss, alongside the growth of the women’s game in the UK, Eve was keen to partner with the Hammers and bring both organisations together to promote women’s football.
Eve said: “Now more than ever, businesses will be judged not just on what they do, but in particular, how they set about doing it.” She went on to say: “Here in the US, we enjoyed the success of our own women’s soccer team at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Judging by the calibre of the women players at West Ham, it would be great to see many of them playing in the next World Cup and START PAC will be there to celebrate both them and their sheer love of the sport.”
Jack Sullivan, Managing Director of West Ham United’s women’s team, said: “This is a fantastic partnership for the Club. Promoting the women’s game and the growth of the sport has always been one of our aims, alongside of course the success of our own football club.
“Along the way we have made sure that we have been very vocal in campaigning on equality – it is something that is close to our hearts here, with equality being a priority for the Board and everyone across the Club.
“With Eve’s drive and passion to help us with this journey, we look forward to working with her and START PAC to provide the best possible platform for all our players to develop and succeed as the sport continues to grow.”
